Teens with testicular cancer have a higher risk of depression. Frequently, teen depression is untreated because people consider it to be a normal sadness.
• Cheerless mood
• Incapable to concentrate
• Low energy
• Poor performance in school
• Change in sleeping pattern
• Reduced communication
• Impatient, angry, or anxiety
• Loss of interest in activities
• Immense weight lost or weight gain
• Self-injury
• Death or suicide thoughts
• Self-guilt and worthlessness
Most teens experience a few of these symptoms; however if you have a number of these symptoms for more than a couple weeks, you are likely to have depression and may need professional help.
